In addition to adjusting the feet to correct foot pain and dysfunction, Dr. Erick Peterson also adjusts the tiny bones and joints in the wrists and hands as well as other areas of the body. Through repetitive use and stress, the hand bones and joints may lose their healthy alignment. A hand condition often starts as a subtle soreness in the palms or fingers or a numbing sensation in the fingers. These symptoms can eventually lead into more severe symptoms of wrist and hand pain or weakness and loss of grip strength. These symptoms are commonly associated with misalignments of the carpal and metacarpal bones in the wrist and hand. When these bones are not aligned properly it pinches and irritates nearby nerves and causes stress to the joints. Dr. Erick Peterson, Durham chiropractor has been trained to use gentle chiropractic adjustments to the hands and wrists to alleviate pain and stress to correct your hand condition.
